About Me

Hi! I’m Elizabeth Brown.

Throughout my career, I have written all kinds of documentation – from history textbooks that I used in my own classroom when I was a high school history and English teacher – to process documents, work instructions, software manuals, and other collateral. I would like to rid the world of passive, imprecise language that leads to expensive mistakes, liability, lost time, and sometimes even injuries.

I am extremely organized. I wrangle chaos into order and can coach others to do the same. My experience includes working with engineers and chemists whose technical content I easily articulated into information for users at all levels.

Simple language is powerful. Writing precise documents that focus upon the task will result in a safer workplace and lower costs across the board.

I am a lifelong learner who believes in creating sustainable work processes. The best way to share this important information is through strong, precise documentation. Learning new software does not scare me. I have built information management systems from scratch and then taught others how to use the new framework. I am a born instructor and use my classroom experience to help others. The best part of my day is when I know I have helped someone learn something new and useful.

Let me help you transform your document libraries into a collection of precision instruments that will remove misinterpretation and misunderstanding from your environment and replace them with overwhelming clarity.
